Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala joins the Congress party in Punjab
As from last few days news of the Punjabi superstar singer and lyricist among the mob. On December 3 it’s officially confirmed that Sidhu make an appearance in politics with the Punjab Congress party in Chandigarh.
Moosewala today shakes hands with the Congress in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu. On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said that today was a revolutionary day for the politics of Punjab. At a word from Moosewala, the youth get excited. Moose Wala’s father is a soldier.
Controversy over Sidhu
It is worth mentioning here that Sidhu Moose Wala is also known as one of the most controversial Punjabi singers. He openly promotes gun culture, with provocative songs accusing him of praising gangsters.
His song ‘Jatti June Mor Di Banduk Wargi’, released in September 2019, started a controversy over the context of 18th-century Sikh warrior Mai Bhago. He was accused of portraying the Sikh warrior in a derogatory manner. Moosewala later apologized.
Support the farmer’s protest
Sidhu Moosewala strongly supported the farmers’ struggle against the three repealed agricultural laws and spoke against the governments. He supported the call of farmers’ organizations to protest ‘Let’s go to Delhi’. In this struggle he joined the dharnas in Mansa from the very beginning and in December 2020, at the Moose Wala Tikri border, he asked the central government to address the concerns of the farmers regarding the three agricultural laws.
