Gyms and yoga centers are going to open from 5 August in Punjab.
The new guidelines from the central government will come into effect from tomorrow, with gyms and yoga centers opening
The gym is set to reopen after being closed for about four months due to a lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Gym owners are also preparing to prevent infection.
The government has issued guidelines for gym and yoga centers. At these places, it will be necessary to use a 6 feet distance, face cover, and mask. The gym and yoga center will open on August 5. Therefore, the Union Ministry of Health has issued detailed guidelines. The gym, yoga center operator and gym/yoga trainer are responsible for following this guideline. Gym and yoga centers will not open in the containment zone.
Things to keep in mind and instructions to follow.
As per the guidelines, persons above 65 years of age, persons with pre-existing diseases, pregnant women, and children below 10 years of age have been asked not to use the gym in an enclosed space. Gym and yoga centers must be at least 6 feet apart.
Face covers and masks will be mandatory at the gym and yoga centers, but visors can be used to protect the face and eyes during the exercise. Hand sanitizer or soap will be used to clean hands during exercise. The soap will be used for 40 to 60 seconds while the sanitizer will be used for 20 seconds.
Spitting in gyms and yoga centers will be completely banned. Everyone who comes to these places must have the Arogya Setu app on their mobile phones.
The guideline states that the temperature of air conditioners in gyms and yoga centers should be kept between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius. Lockers can be used keeping in mind the social distances. The card has been asked to be used for payment to avoid contact.
Also, these places must be dustbin covered. The spa, stein bath, and swimming pool will remain closed. It will be necessary to sanitize from time to time everything including equipment and doors and windows used in gyms and yoga centers.
