CHANDIGARH: Coronavirus cases are on the rise again. Punjab is one of the states which is contributing 85 per cent of the total cases of corona virus. The number of active cases is increasing in Haryana and Gujarat.

According to the medical bulletin, more than 1000 new coronavirus cases were reported in Punjab on Thursday and 15 more deaths were reported.

With 1,074 recent cases, the number of infections rose to 1,85,381, while 15 deaths pushed the number to 5,887 in the state. The latest cases of Kovid-19 have been on the rise in Punjab for the last four weeks.

Among the new cases, Jalandhar recorded the highest number of 242 cases, SBS Nagar 147, Hoshiarpur 115, Mohali 111 and Ludhiana 106 cases. The number of persons has risen to 1,73,230.

There are 14 critically ill patients on ventilator assistance and 94 on oxygen assistance.

Corona regains momentum, the highest number since February

Corona has regained momentum in the capital Delhi. The highest number of cases has been reported on Thursday since February. As many as 261 new corona patients were found in Delhi on Thursday. One person from Corona has also died.

The death toll from the corona in Delhi has risen to 10,915, officials said. The investigation of 66,432 people for Kovid-19 revealed new cases on Wednesday.

According to the latest health bulletin, the number of patients infected with the virus crossed 6.40 million on Thursday. The number of patients being treated for the infection in Delhi on Thursday rose from 1,584 to 1,701 on Wednesday, while the infection rate rose to 0.39 per cent.

Meanwhile, officials said that 27,959 people were vaccinated in Delhi on Thursday. Vaccination was carried out at 402 immunization sites. Of these, 14,328 vaccinations were given to senior citizens. Earlier, on February 22, 27,219 people were vaccinated. Vaccination in private centers was 63.73 percent while in government centers 29.48 percent were vaccinated.
