Bank Holidays: Banks will have about 13 days off during March. Banks will be closed for several consecutive festivals in March, the second Saturday, Sunday, and a strike by bank employees. This can make it difficult for people to withdraw money.

In fact, the bank union has announced a strike, angry over the announcement of a rollback of privatization of three state-owned banks in the Narendra Modi government’s general budget. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced in her budget speech that two more public sector banks, including IDBI, would be privatized. The bank workers’ union has been protesting ever since.

In fact, the United Forum of Bank Unions, the central body of the nine bank unions, has decided to go on strike. The strike will severely affect the functioning of state-owned banks. In such a situation, people will have to complete their important tasks before March 13.
